Dr Philip Finestone studied medicine at Pretoria University after obtaining a degree in bio-chemistry and microbiology from Rhodes University in Grahamstown, South Africa.
As Registrar in the Department of Ophthalmology – University of Stellenbosch – he specialized in Ophthalmic Surgery.
Dr Finestone commenced in private practice as an ophthalmologist and founder member of the Eye & Laser Institute.
He is currently a Director of the Institute and as resident specialist, has participated in 3 clinical research studies.
Dr Finestone has experience in all aspects of ophthalmology and also performs refractive surgery.
Dr Finestone also consults in Uitenhage and Grahamstown.
