Dr Nadeema Gallow

Dr Nadeema Gallow is a South African Ophthalmologist whose passion for improving eye healthcare is the foundation of focus in achieving the best surgical outcomes. 

Dr Gallow completed her medical degree at the University of Stellenbosch in 1995.  She completed her internship at Tygerberg Academic Hospital in 1996. Dr Gallow initially worked as a General Practitioner in Cape Town and then in the UK until 1999. From 2000 she worked as a Medical Officer in various surgical disciplines namely ENT, General Surgery and Ophthalmology at the East London Hospital Complex. Here she completed her primary in surgery and diploma in Ophthalmology at the College of Medicine South Africa. She started her registrar rotation at Tygerberg Hospital in 2003 and completed her FC (Ophth) SA Degree as well as her MMed(Ophth) at Stellenbosch University in 2006. In 2007 and 2008 she remained at Tygerberg Hospital as a consultant and in 2009 went on to consult as an Ophthalmic Surgeon at the Nieu Bethesda Hospital in Hoogeveen, Netherlands. On her return to South Africa in 2010 she consulted at Helderberg Hospital in Somerset West and Victoria Hospital in Wineberg in the Western Cape. 

Dr Gallow moved to Port Elizabeth in 2014 and currently has her own private practice at The Eye & Laser Institute as an Ophthalmic Surgeon.Her main fields of interest is Cataract Surgery, Glaucoma and Diabetic Eye Disease Treatment.
