The Eye and Laser Institute is situated adjacent to the Medical Forum Theatre Day Hospital and boasts an on-site Klinicare Pharmacy as well as a Coffee Shop.
Medical Forum Theatre
The Institute is home to the Eastern Cape’s first private day hospital – the Medical Forum Theatre – dedicated not only to ophthalmic surgery and procedures but to other surgical disciplines such as Urology, Ears, Nose and Throat, Gynecology, Maxilla Facial Surgery, Orthopedics, Plastic Surgery, Dentistry and General surgery.
The Medical Forum Theatre is the only unattached day hospital in Port Elizabeth and is able to offer cost-effective advantages of cost structures and pricing patterns. The Hospital has three fully equipped, modern and spacious surgery theatres, fifteen beds and six Lazy Boys.
From the moment of your arrival, we make sure that your stay is as comfortable as possible. Relax in our newly renovated waiting area, enjoy free WiFi, sip on a cup of coffee or read from a variety of magazines and newspapers whilst you wait.
Klinicare Pharmacy
Klinicare has a pharmacy on-site which offers a take-home medication service for prescribed post-operative ophthalmology medications and drops.
All scripts are issued and dispensed by Klinicare Pharmacy Lorraine (234 Circular Drive, Lorraine, Port Elizabeth).

Coffee Shop
Fantalla Coffee & Co is located in The Eye and Laser Institute for your convenience.
They provide a wide assortment of fresh cakes, wraps, muffins, biscuits, soups and delicious coffees as either a sit-down or takeaway option.
