Your first visit
When you visit The Eye and Laser Institute you can expect to be looked after by an experienced and caring clinical team from your first visit, through to your treatment/surgery right until your post-operative consultation. Our doctors and staff continuously strive to provide the highest standard of health care.
Please remember to bring your reading glasses or contact lenses and a list of all the medications you are currently using.
On arrival at The Eye and Laser Institute, you will be greeted by our friendly security personnel who will direct you to your Ophthalmologists practice.
Our friendly receptionists will ask you to complete a patient folder (if you are a first-time patient) and provide your medical aid details and any other information that they may require.
Your first visit will involve a range of non-evasive diagnostic tests or screenings conducted by an Ophthalmic assistant – all tests will be explained during your examination with the doctor. Once your tests have been completed you will be directed back to the waiting area to await your full ophthalmic examination by one of our Ophthalmologists.
After your consultation, you will need to return to reception where you can settle your account and schedule your next appointment (should one be required).
