Dr Emil Goosen

Dr Goosen is originally from Port Elizabeth. He qualified as a general practitioner at the University of Stellenbosch, 2008. He then completed his Internship at the Groote Schuur Hospital in 2010, followed by his Community service year at the Kraaifontein Community Health Clinic in 2011.

He then worked as a Medical Officer in Ophthalmology at Addington Hospital.

He subsequently completed the Ophthalmology residency program via the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa (CMSA) in 2015. His training was conducted at St. Aidan’s Regional Mission Hospital, Addington Hospital, Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital and McCords Provincial Eye Hospital, under the guidance of Dr Linda Visser (HOD of Ophthalmology, UKZN).

Dr Goosen regularly attends Ophthalmology congresses and follows international studies and guidelines to keep up to date with the latest trends in the medical and surgical management of eye conditions.

Dr Goosen also consults in Graaff Reniet and Uitenhage.
